see clouds arrive without warning...
its been long since i ride in the rain.. so long until i cant remember when... its a pleasent yet unpleasent experiece...
upleasent cos.. well the raindrops actually do hurt when it hits you... so its like having the pins and needles feeling all over the exposed parts of your body.. and its also cold and my shoes was soaking wet.. i could literary feel the water moving around in my shoes... and this is the worst part.. the lightnings are scary... everytime the lightning strikes i feel as if i have cheated death... and i dont know if the next one will strike me.. those who stay in my area will know... when it rains here its normally big big rain.. i counted more then 10 lightnings strikes during the 20 plus minutes which i took to get home... the ligthning strikes are still going on as a make this post...
well its pleasent cos.. it really clears my mind... hearing nothing but the sound of rain and thunder... this semester, my last sem in poly has been going on really fast.. too fast in fact.. too fast that i dont have time to soak it in... i never expected my life in poly to zoom past so quickly.. much less doing so well in poly.. i'll be getting an award next thurs for overall meritorious academic performance for my second year in poly.. well i've not been a really good student in secondary school.. yes i passed most of my subjects but not very well in fact... the only thing which i felt proud about during my sec school was my cca.. beening awarded the outstanding cadet award and recieving it at the indoor stadium in 2005 was a dream which became true.. its was one of the proudest moments of my life then...
i hope that i will be able to guaduate from poly with a COM.. certificate of Merit.. and move on the to uni either nus or ntu... it would be nice if i'm offered a scholarship to study in the uni.. as i think that its really going to be a burden for my parents if they were to send me to uni...
its a difficult decision to make.. what i will be going to study in uni.. if i'm able to maintain my current gpa, getting into any course in the uni should not be a problem... but the thing is i dont know was course to study.. i know or i hope that i wont be doing engineering in the uni... i would like to study science... but on the other hand there is photography... i'm stuck in the centre... which route should i take... there are pros and cons to either routes which i will take...
if its to the uni it would either be science or engineering...the pros is i should be able to get a fairly good paying job after i guaduate... it would say its a fairly stable route.. i should be able to take good care of my family and my parents.. cons.. nothing is certain, wat if i fail to guaduate from uni.. i would have wasted time and money or i might not be able to get a job.. currently, uni guads still facing the problem of unemployment..
or..
if its photography... this i would say is a more risky route.. cos its either make or break.. either i become an outstanding photographer or i'm nothing but a wedding photograper.. this is the harsh reality of living in Singapore... pros.. if i really did become successful in my photography career, i would surely be able to provided a good living for my family and my parents.. photographers do earn good money.. the cons is straight to your face.. you will be left midway... nither here nor there.. bad situation to be in...
oh.. there is one more route.. sign on with the army... a lot more thought have to be put into this if i should consider this path...
well.. there are many big decisions to make... i dont know wat the future holds for me...i still have to consider the fact that i will have my parents to take care of when they get old... so many factors.. so many decisions... so many risks... so many thoughts... sometimes i wonder if all this is too much for a 19 year old to handle... or is it just me who thinks of such stuffs... i guess i really have to decide on what i'm going to do.. time and tides waits for no man...
i believe.. that all this is something that i have to go through... i cant avoid it.. my parents cant decide for me.. for my future... for the ones whom are dear to me... i promise i will not disappoint any of you... this i promise you...
in due time i will have to face this decisions and i hope that i will be able to make the right choices..
so much thoughts after cycling in the rain... oh ya.. there's also lonely feeling i get when i was cycling.. the streets are empty... if not there are people sharing umbrellas.. while i'm in the rain.. you get the picture... sometimes i think i really think too much... yet all my hair is still black.. yes.. not a single strand of white hair.. i guess i have to thank God for that.. this way people wont know that i actually do a lot of thinking.. too much in fact... well thats life...
i shall end of with a qoute from Alexander the Great
"There is nothing impossible to him who will try."
i'll give up this view just to tell her..........
